CCCOWE Letter

Dear CCCOWE Family,

Greetings in Christ!

By God’s grace, the 10th CCOWE Congress was successfully held from July 20–24, bringing together 1,911 participants and volunteers. Five main sessions were live-streamed on YouTube, drawing over 210,000 cumulative views across the CCCOWE and GoodTV YouTube channels as of September 2, 2026.

The Congress was filled with memorable moments: worship leaders from diverse teams united on stage to lead us in worship to the one true God; speakers across theological spectrums engaged in open, gracious dialogue to sharpen and complement one another; participants from different regions prayed over each other—especially for churches enduring persecution, war, and severe hardships; and attendees across generations learned to appreciate one another, building a healthy intergenerational culture. These moments vividly embodied our shared conviction: “We do not just connect for the Gospel; how we connect is itself an expression of the Gospel!”

The pre-congress goal was for each attendee to form lasting friendships with 2–3 potential co-laborers and spark concrete ministry collaboration. From 100 post-congress survey responses received:

95%connected with at least one new friend they intend to stay in touch with (79% made three or more).
77%have already initiated discussions or collaboration with other individuals or organizations.
80%felt inspired to take new ministry actions over the coming year.

Participants under 35 made up 15.4% of attendees—this “15%” is another highlight of the event. Moving forward, CCCOWE is exploring conferences to foster peer connections between younger leaders and cultivate a healthy culture of “walking together across generations.”

Following the Congress, several collaborative initiatives are already underway. In 2027, CCCOWE and various regional committees plan to host regional summits in the US, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Italy, the Netherlands, and other places. While each summit targets different groups and engages in various topics, all will remain centered on the Gospel—exploring its contextual expression and experience to foster breakthroughs in church building, mission practices, and intergenerational partnership. Additionally, CCCOWE will host the Global Chinese Theological Education Summit next year, bringing together theological educators, pastors, mission leaders, and professionals to address current challenges and discern future pathways.

A “Gospel movement” is never just about holding conferences. It is about people repeatedly experiencing the renewing power of the Gospel, inspiring us to participate in God’s mission to proclaim and demonstrate Christ’s Gospel. I have attached several participants’ reflection below to share with you the joy of taking part in God’s work!
